Students develop a sense of shared responsibility for our communities’ well-being and the sustainability of our environment; they accept the idea that international education entails the obligation of contributing to a better world. With over 30 countries represented on campus, our students acquire empathy, understanding, and appreciation for the differences that contribute to our school’s culturally stimulating experience.

At OMIS, we strive to ensure that all children feel a sense of purpose and belonging and are seen for who they are. We are not a one-size-fits-all school and our small size, which has been maintained intentionally over the years, allows us to sustain a tight-knit community with a family feel. The strong partnerships we develop with our families enable us to understand the specific needs of our students and to provide them with what they need to be successful.

Our school’s mission of ” LEARN, EARN, RETURN “—”a community of learners who achieve and contribute positively within and beyond the school”—was implemented and tested in every environment. We were able to swiftly deploy successful online and hybrid teaching and learning approaches. Despite the obstacles, we learnt to adapt and developed new abilities that will help us now as we confront new exciting chances and challenges.

 The widespread adoption of generative AI tools in our lives and schools is an excellent illustration of this, as we investigate ways to learn and teach all of our kids how to utilize these new tools successfully and responsibly. Social contacts in and out of the classroom are critical to our students’ growth and well-being, and they are central to our teaching and learning philosophy.
